Ms. Kelsey McGill

Hello Clinton families!

My name is Kelsey McGill, and I’m so excited to be a part of the amazing Clinton community as a School Counselor! Before coming to Clinton, I’ve worked in various educational settings for 10 years. I’m a graduate of the University of Montana with a Master’s in Counselor Education, and I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Expeditionary Studies from Plattsburgh State University. Additionally, I’m a Clinical Therapist in Missoula, and I work with all ages.

In my experience, I find that the best way to support each child is from a strengths-based approach, meaning the child builds upon their innate skills which help them through challenges they face. I also value collaborating with the family and school staff to consider the wide breadth of varying considerations to best support your child. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, my door is always open. Your perspective matters and I honor that.

When I’m not wearing my "counselor hat", I’m usually running, backpacking, playing with my pup, or spending some quality time with people I care about.

Below you can click on a powerpoint presentation or word document that lists resources (i.e. calming techniques, sleeping resources, crisis support, etc.) for you and your child to use as needed.
