WELCOME TO THE CLINTON SCHOOL LIBRARY

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Greetings from the school library.  I hope this note finds you all well and healthy.

I also hope you are able to take advantage of this time to read to and connect with your child through the written word.

Unfortunately, as is the practice with other surrounding libraries during this time, the school library will not be checking-out or checking-in books until further notice.  Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. As of now, there are no immediate overdue dates or fines. There are many other options for getting your choice of book, though. Below are links for the Missoula Public Library where you can access their digital collection of ebooks and audio books (Montana2Go), with a MPL library card.  Some teachers may soon be sending invites to Epic! which is an on-line source of books for kids twelve and under. They are currently offering free access for home use through schools. Audible is another way to digitally access audio books. They are also currently offering a free trial.

Kindergarteners through 6th graders are still encouraged to read 600 minutes for Read2Ride, which is Silverwood’s reading incentive program that allows students to earn a free ticket to the theme park this summer.  Teachers passed out information a few weeks ago. The deadline has been extended. Below is information from a current email.

“Coordinators, teachers, and parents, due to school closures around the region, we are extending our reading log deadline from March 31st to April 30th.”

I will let you know if anything changes.

If you would like more suggestions or avenues for your child to read at home, you can contact me at the email below.  Again, I hope that you all are staying healthy and staying safe!

Stay Reading!
